The group of stocks outstanding in the trading session was real estate, many of which rallied strongly. Specifically, DXG, QCG, HQC, FCN, NLG, and LDG hit the cap. HBC, VCG, DIG and CEO climbed more than 4%.
Many bank stocks and securities, such as STB, SHB, LPB, VCI and VDS, also reached the limit; VND and HCM rose almost 4%, so the growing momentum was reinforced.
Not only the major stocks, but after a long period of sharp decline, speculative stocks also surged, following the index gain. Of which, the FLC group of stocks including FLC, ROS, ART, HAI, KLF and AMD all hit the cap.
Although the VN-Index did not close with the highest gain of the trading session, it still saw a good increase, with green covering the market. During this positive trading session, foreign investors also bought 270 billion VND net on the HoSE.
The VN-Index strengthened by 16.56 points, or 1.28%, to close at 1,307.91 points, with 389 winners, 80 losers and 39 shares unchanged. The HNX Index of the North’s smallest stock exchange climbed 6.78 points, or 2.23%, to 310.93 points, with 163 winners, 61 losers and 31 stocks unchanged.
Because the market rose in doubt, market liquidity did not improve much and remained weak. The total trade value reached over VND 18.56 trillion ($797.7 million), down almost 8% from the previous session.
