Chris Hastings joins as Managing Director
NEW YORK, January 18, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Houlihan Lokey (NYSE: HLI), the global investment bank, today announced that Chris Hastings has joined the firm as Managing Director of the Capital Markets Group. Mr. Hastings will join Sean Fitzgerald in New York to provide capital solutions, including growth capital, structured capital and PIPEs, to businesses and clients backed by financial sponsors. In addition, Brent Surber, a current director of the capital markets group with significant equity investing experience, will join the expanded equity team.
Mr. Hastings has over two decades of experience advising clients on a wide range of private equity advisory transactions. He joins Houlihan Lokey from DC Advisory, where he was managing director and head of private capital, focusing primarily on growth capital and structured equity transactions. His previous experience includes roles in the private equity groups of Cantor Fitzgerald and Credit Suisse. Mr. Hastings began his career with Bear Stearns in 1999.

Mr. Hastings holds a BA in finance from Penn State University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
