A former chairman of challenger bank Monzo has joined OneDome’s board.
Tim Brooke Thom has been named non-executive director of the challenger portal.
From 2015 to 2019, Brooke Thom was chairman and director of Monzo Bank and saw it grow from a startup to one of the biggest names in UK fintech, valued at over £4.5bn .
This follows the appointment of former Cheltenham & Glouvester chief executive Michael Yeates to the OneDome board earlier this year.
He helped grow C&G from the 16th largest building society to one of the UK’s largest lenders, Europe’s most profitable financial services company and the world’s 27th most profitable organization in all sectors, according to Gartner.
Yeates has also served on the boards of HSBC, RBS, Barclays, NatWest, Nationwide, Abbey, Alliance & Leicester, The John Lewis Partnership and Next plc.
Sir Nigel Knowles, Chairman of OneDome, said: “I am delighted to welcome Tim and Michael to our Board.
“They have deep knowledge of the financial services industry, start-ups and scale-ups and they will add tremendous value to the team, our clients and our shareholders.
“OneDome is focused on changing the way consumers buy properties for good, fixing one of the most archaic and frustrating processes in our daily lives and I’m confident that with Tim and Michael on board, the company will go from strength to strength to achieve its goals.”
